I have travelled a bit with my toddler and decided to get this stroller for a recent trip to Colorado. I am not exaggerating when I say the trip would not have been possible without this stroller. We were able to drop the bags and car seat off with our toddler in the stroller. Security was a breeze and we were able to have the toddler in the stroller going on to the plane and store it in the overhead bin — the flight attendant was SHOCKED! We are a smaller airport so the planes are not big. I feel confident traveling with my toddler in the future because of the freedom this stroller gives me.

We have a larger stroller that we were using but wanted something more compact for travel without losing the comfort for our 6 month old. She LOVES this stroller! She gets so happy when we put her in it! She is able to sit up and look around or lay almost all the way back which is really nice for naps! This stroller is so light and folds up so small! Can easily be done with one hand while holding the baby! Best purchase we’ve made in awhile!

It’s a long review but I’m hoping it will help those considering the Velo and the Lithe V2. If I could leave 4.5/5 stars for the Velo I would have. The Lithe V2 a 3.5/5. We started with the Lithe V2 and honestly loved it except for two things. We didn’t realize the backrest and canopy were only held together by Velcro and were worried in bassinet mode for napping our 1 year old could potentially fall through (he’s an active boy). I added pictures below. I’m sure it wasn’t likely but we still worried since he could get the straps off in this stroller. The other part was how small the basket was on the bottom. It wouldn’t fit our small diaper bag so we had to carry it or bring another small bag and transfer things out of our diaper bag that were needed for the next few hours. This wasn’t terrible but noticeable. We eventually sent it back due to the back not being one solid piece and not fitting our diaper bag.

We then purchased the Velo and it does feel more sturdy overall, folds up easier and is a bit more compact/plus has a carry strap, the back is one piece, still goes flat for naps which is huge, and the basket is larger and fits our diaper bag.

Now here are the things we miss about the Lithe 2 and don’t love about the Velo. We miss that the bassinet conversion was large enough to hold our 1 year old because he loved it laying down and sitting up (the Velo one is smaller and shorter), we miss the click backrest which is pictured below (the Velo is a bungee strap to get baby/toddler from laying down position to sitting upright and it’s a challenge with the weight of your child sitting in it, plus the Lithe 2 was so simple even our 1 year old could pull himself up into sitting position when he woke up). This is my biggest complaint about the Velo and something I struggle with every time we use the stroller. I wish they could combine these strollers or at a minimum, update the Velo to have the click back as well as update the bassinet portion to be larger and box the baby or toddler in like the Lithe 2 stroller does. If they did it would be our favorite stroller and one I’d use daily versus just travel. Another thing we liked about the Lithe 2 was the included snack tray. We’d prefer the Velo to come with a snack tray like the Lithe 2 does versus a bumper bar (you have to purchase separately for the Velo stroller). My husband and I still like the Velo and decided to keep it. We bought the “snooze” cover (separate company) and put that over the front of the stroller for naps while we are out and about since our son is too long for the bassinet mode in the Velo. Although I will say the Lithe 2 bassinet mode was nice because it was large, quicker and easier to snap into place.

Overall the trial period was a wonderful way for our family to try out the strollers and we very much appreciated that. It was the reason we placed our first order because we didn’t have to worry about wasting money if it didn’t work out. Their customer service was by email, which at first I wasn’t a huge fan of because I like talking to people to ask my questions, but they were extremely professional, helpful and kind and it went just fine. Also recently my mother-in-law wanted to get a stroller and asked what I thought and she ended up getting the Lithe 2 so it’s been fun getting to use that stroller again too. You can’t go wrong, they both have similarities plus a few different pros and cons to think about and what each means for your family. Happy shopping :)

I’m really impressed with the Mompush Velo Lightweight Travel Stroller! This stroller is super compact and airplane-friendly, which makes traveling with my baby so much easier. The one-hand fold is incredibly smooth and fast — perfect for busy parents on the go.
The lie-flat seat is comfortable and ideal for naps during walks or long outings. I also love the leather bumper bar, shoulder strap, raincover, and cup holder — these extra accessories make daily use even more convenient. The storage bag is spacious enough to hold essentials without being bulky.

We bought this stroller for our recent international trip because it had all the features along with being IATA compatible which was important to us because we wanted to have our stroller with us during airport layovers. It pushes smooth, looks great, has a newborn compatible recline which is amazing for naps and diaper changes on the go and folds up so small to fit into tight spaces. Been loving it so far!
